Wolverine TV: Game clips of On300 Michigan CB target Jayden Sanders

Wolverine TV: Game clips of On300 Michigan CB target Jayden Sanders

The Wolverine’s EJ Holland was recently on the road and saw On300 Kilgore (Texas) High cornerback and Michigan commit Jayden Sanders in game action.

Watch full highlights in the video at the end of this story.

Sanders Recruitment

Michigan extended an offer to Sanders in early June and immediately made him a top priority at the cornerback position.

The Wolverines were able to get Sanders on campus for an unofficial visit in June and got him back on campus for the BBQ at The Big House in late July. It was there where U-M cemented itself as the team to beat in his recruitment.

Sanders officially announced his decision last month, picking Michigan over fellow finalists Baylor and Oklahoma State.

Here is what Holland had to say about Sanders.

“Sanders is another great pickup for new Michigan secondary coach LaMar Morgan,” Holland said. “While he didn’t have much Power Four experience before his arrival in Ann Arbor, Morgan has delivered on the recruiting trail. He landed a pair of On300 safeties in Kainoa Winston and Ivan Taylor and has now added Sanders to the fold. That’s three On300 recruits this cycle, which is obviously impressive. Sanders was at the very top of the cornerback board, and Morgan closed. In Sanders, he is getting a tall, long corner with plenty of upside. Remember, Sanders was a big riser in the recent rankings update.”

At 6-foot-2, 175 pounds, Sanders is ranked as the No. 28 cornerback and No. 241 overall recruit nationally, per the On3 Industry Ranking.

Michigan now has 16 commits in its 2025 recruiting class — Sanders, Top 100 Center Valley (Pa.) Southern Lehigh tight end Andrew Olesh, Top 100 Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange safety Ivan Taylor, Top 100 Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga defensive back Kainoa Winston, Top 100 Katy (Texas) Jordan wide receiver Andrew Marsh, On300 Fort Myers (Fla.) Bishop Verot quarterback Carter Smith, On300 Alpharetta (Ga.) High EDGE Julius Holly, On300 Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy running back Donovan Johnson, four-star New Orleans (La.) Archbishop Shaw wide receiver Jacob Washington, four-star Palatine (Ill.) High EDGE Jaylen Williams, four-star Birmingham (Mich.) Groves offensive lineman Avery Gach, four-star Howell (Mich.) High defensive lineman Bobby Kanka, three-star New Orleans (La.) Archbishop Shaw running back Jasper Parker, three-star Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy offensive lineman Kaden Strayhorn, three-star Stockbridge (Ga.) High linebacker Chase Taylor and three-star Alcoa (Tenn.) High tight end Eli Owens.

The class entered the day ranked No. 14 nationally and No. 3 in the Big Ten, per the On3 Industry national team recruiting rankings. The Wolverines currently sit behind USC, Ohio State and Oregon.
