Washington at Iowa start time announced

Every Monday the mystery of a start time for the Iowa football game two weeks down the road is solved. This week the Hawkeyes are looking ahead to the game after the trip to Ohio State, when they host the University of Washington. Iowa will host Washington on October 12th with kickoff set for 11:00 a.m. That means from a body clock perspective for the Huskies, it will be a 9:00 a.m. start. The TV for this game is yet to be determined. It will either be FOX or BTN. The Huskies are in their first season in the Big Ten Conference. They are 3-2 this season and 1-1 in conference play. Washington beat Northwestern in Seattle and then traveled to Rutgers last Friday and lost to the Scarlet Knights, 21-18. Meanwhile, Iowa heads into this week at 3-1 on the season with their only loss coming to Iowa State on a last second field goal. This will be the seventh meeting between Iowa and Washington. It’s the first non-bowl game contest since 1964. That game was the only meeting between the Hawkeyes and the Huskies since Iowa beat Washington 28-18 in Iowa City. Overall, the series is tied at three wins each. Washington won two meetings in the Rose Bowl in 1981 and 1990, but lost to Iowa in the Sun Bowl in 1995.
