Tua Tagovailoa injury update: Latest on Dolphins QB, potential for retirement after latest concussion
Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered another concussion on Thursday night. For now, though, he has no plans to retire after meeting with specialists, according to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
For now, Tagovailoa hasn’t been cleared to return to action. That’s a decision that will come down to the medical team around him. However, when that time comes, it looks like he’ll return to the field for the Dolphins.
“Tua Tagovailoa and his doctors will be making the decisions about his playing, his health,” Rapoport said. “They will be driving the process. My understanding is Tagovailoa has no plans to retire.”

“He has no plans to retire. In fact, his eyes are already on returning to the football field,” Rapoport continued. “As far as when that goes, we simply do not know. Every concussion is different. The way every player responds to a concussion is different. He will be healthy enough to play when he is healthy enough to play and when he and his doctors decide that.”
