Texas A&M video board operator trolls Brady Cook, Missouri over crowd noise quote

Texas A&M video board operator trolls Brady Cook, Missouri over crowd noise quote

There’s been a good deal of back and forth between Missouri and Texas A&M this week, with a good deal of trash-talking on both sides going into the contest.

One of the quips that caught the attention of Aggies fans was a quote by Missouri quarterback Brady Cook on the noise he expected at Kyle Field.

“At some point it can only get so loud,” Cook said. “In my opinion, the noise at practice is actually louder. They put these big speakers pretty much two feet right behind me. You can’t hear anything. It’s loud. At stadiums, it’s loud, but it’s like a surrounding, more distant loud.”

With Texas A&M leading 41-7 in the contest, the Aggies were absolutely feasting up front on the defensive line.

The team had recorded six sacks by the early fourth quarter, and the noise certainly seemed to be impacting Cook and the Tigers. Twice Missouri was flagged for a false start amid the deafening noise in the second half.

And the Texas A&M video board operators at Kyle Field only leaned into the drama.

They put up the quote from Cook, seemingly urging the crowd to show him a thing or two about just how wrong he was. Check it out below.

The Tigers were clearly out of sync early in the day, perhaps frustrated by a few calls from the officials that didn’t go their way. But whatever the case, Cook and company simply didn’t have it on Saturday.

The Missouri quarterback was 9-of-23 for 149 yards and a touchdown against Texas A&M, struggling to get going. He had run 10 times for -2 yards in the contest, with lost sack yardage factored in.

Barring a Herculean comeback, Missouri will drop its first game of the season and fall to 4-1. And with that loss, it will become incredibly tough for the Tigers to work toward a playoff berth, given how soft the remaining schedule is. Missouri will have to be nearly perfect going forward.

And maybe hope for a little less crowd noise in future road games.
