Marshall at Ohio State: Game time, details
Ohio State and Marshall have met twice on the gridiron. The Thundering Herd came into the Horseshoe 20 years ago and gave the Buckeyes quite a scare, but the leg of Mike Nugent saved the day. Marshall also visited Columbus in 2010 and Ohio State won 45-7, but that game was part of the vacated season after the ‘tattoogate’ scandal.
Marshall (1-1) is also coming off a bye week. It has a win over Stony Brook and a loss to Virginia Tech.

Series Fun Fact
Marshall first played Ohio State on Sept. 11, 2004. In a back-and-forth game, it came down to one of the greatest college kickers of all time to save the day for the Buckeyes.
Mike Nugent lined up for a 55-yard field goal with two seconds left in the game. Like Nugent did so many times for the Buckeyes, he drilled the kick. That Ohio State team finished the regular season 8-4 with a 37-21 win over Michigan and a 33-7 win over Oklahoma State in the Alamo Bowl.
