PODCAST: Oregon Shuts Out Purdue 35-0 in West Lafayette
On today’s episode of the Ducks Dish Podcast, ScoopDuck’s Max Torres and Justin Hopkins break down No. 2 Oregon’s 35-0 win over the Purdue Boilermakers Friday night in West Lafayette.
Quarterback Dillon Gabriel was nearly flawless, completing 21 of his 25 passes for 290 yards and two touchdowns against one interception. Running back Noah Whittington may have had the highlight of the night with a circus touchdown grab as he turned in one of his stronger performances of the year.
Oregon’s defense was dominant all night and limited Purdue quarterback Ryan Browne to under 100 yards passing and registered three sacks. Kobe Savage recovered a fumble forced by Jeffrey Bassa, while cornerback Kam Alexander snagged an interception.
Oregon moves to 7-0 on the year and will face Illinois at home next Saturday.
