Oregon RB commit Dierre Hill puts on 4 touchdown performance

Althoff Catholic (Ill.) improved to 3-0 Friday night with a 49-21 win over Belleville-East (Ill.), in large part because of a stellar performance on the ground from Oregon four-star running back commit Dierre Hill.

Hill ran for 311 yards and four touchdowns on just 11 carries for Althoff Catholic, per Prep Redzone Illinois.

This success is nothing new for Hill. As a junior, Hill was named the 2023-24 Gatorade Player of the Year in football for the state of Illinois. Last season, Hill rushed for 1,788 yards and 23 touchdowns — averaging 13.6 yards per carry.

“Dierre’s speed and vision make him special,” Centralia head coach Brad Goewey told Gatorade last year. “Their success goes directly through him—he is what makes them so dangerous for opposing defenses.”

Hill is the nation’s No. 163 overall prospect, No. 12 running back and No. 5 recruit from Illinois in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

More on Dierre Hill’s recruitment

Hill has been committed to Oregon since May 10.

“What excites me about my opportunity is that I could be somewhere special there as they show me and tell!” Hill said in the past.

“The facility was great and everything was literally nice! I got to experience something amazing.”
