The Horns head to Nashville hoping to bounce back from Saturday’s loss to the Bulldogs.

In the immediate wake of the 30-15 loss by the No. 1 Texas Longhorns to the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs, the SEC released the final television designations for next week’s game, setting kickoff in Nashville for the Longhorns against the Vanderbilt Commodores for 3:15 p.m. Central on Longhorn Network.

A 24-14 win over Ball State on Saturday moved Vanderbilt to 5-2 on the season, including the resounding win over Alabama two weeks ago.

It’s the 12th meeting between the two programs in a series that began in 1899 with Vanderbilt holding an 8-3-1 advantage, although the Commodores and Longhorns haven’t played since 1928, a 13-12 loss for a Texas team coached by Clyde Littlefield.

Texas is looking to bounce back from Saturday’s 30-15 loss to No. 5 Georgia in Austin, a game marred by turnovers and turnovers on downs as the Bulldogs whipped the offensive line of the Longhorns, sacking the Texas quarterbacks seven times.

On Sunday, FanDuel released the odds for the game with the Longhorns favored by 19.5 points.
