After both teams got big wins in Week 5, Nebraska and Rutgers will square off in Week 6. Ahead of the matchup, the odds and early point spread have been released.

The Cornhuskers opened as 6.5-point favorites over the Scarlet Knights, according to FanDuel. The over-under also opened at 43.5.

Both teams got important conference victories in Week 5. Rutgers held on to defeat Washington in a Friday night thriller thanks to a strong performance from the running game. Kyle Monangai led the charge, and the Huskies missed the game-tying field goal as the Scarlet Knights sealed the 21-18 victory.

As for Nebraska, the Cornhuskers struggled against Purdue before finding their stride in the fourth quarter. They outscored the Boilermakers 21-7 in the final period to come away with the 28-10 victory.

Monangai had a monster game to help lead Rutgers past Washington. He led the charge with 25 carries for 132 yards and a touchdown as the Scarlet Knights improved to 4-0 on the season and got their first Big Ten victory of the season.

On Saturday, Nebraska had trouble finding a rhythm in the first three quarters against Purdue. But three straight scoring drives – and a pick-six on the defensive side of the ball – helped the Cornhuskers find their stride and get the 28-10 win to improve to 4-1 on the year, including 1-1 in Big Ten play.

Dylan Raiola looked solid, completing 16 of 26 passes for 244 yards and a touchdown while the running game also impressed. Jacory Barney led the way with 66 rushing yards and a touchdown, and Dante Dowdell added a score of his own while taking the bulk of the carries.
