Nebraska picks up big offensive weapon for the 2026 recruiting class with WR Dveyoun Bonwell-Witte

Nebraska picks up big offensive weapon for the 2026 recruiting class with WR Dveyoun Bonwell-Witte

Sioux Falls (S.D.) Washington junior wide receiver Dveyoun Bonwell-Witte is a Husker. The 6-foot-2 and 190-pound Bonwell-Witte visited Lincoln this weekend to see Nebraska play Rutgers. The talented junior wide receiver felt compelled to join the Husker family while he was in Lincoln on Saturday.

“I love everything about Nebraska!” Bonwell-Witte said. “It’s a team that has grown on me for the last three years. It feels like home every time I step foot in the building. So, I decided to commit.”

Bonwell-Witte feels at home in Lincoln because of his connection to his position coach and the rest of Matt Rhule’s staff. He knows that he will have to leave home to go to school in the future, but he will leave his home to go to another home.

“The main thing that makes Nebraska home for me is the culture,” Bonwell-Witte said. “I had an automatic connection with coach McGuire.

“The love I get from everyone in the facility and knowing that I must leave my home to go to school will be like I never left. I found a home. I am proud of my decision.”

It was a great weekend for Bonwell-Witte to get to Lincoln. He was joined on the game day visit by the other 2026 commitment for Nebraska.

“I actually did meet Dayton Raiola during lunch today. He is a great guy and always has a smile on his face. I am excited to see where this connection goes between us. It’s going to be fun.”

Bonwell-Witte announced last month that his junior season has ended due to injury. He is staying engaged with the team as a mentor for other players.
