Neal Brown addresses Pat Narduzzi postgame comments: ‘That’s bulls***’

The West Virginia Mountaineers lost a heartbreaker in the Backyard Brawl on Saturday to the Pitt Panthers. It’s one of the more heated rivalries in college football and we got a great example of that in the postgame interviews from both coaches. Initially, Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi said that the Panthers had to not only beat WVU, but the officials as well. And once West Virginia head coach Neal Brown heard was asked about his remarks in the postgame press conference, he let everyone know his unfiltered thoughts.

“Yeah, I think that’s bulls***. I thought the officials, we can say what we want to, but the officials, you know I’m not real pleased with them either,” Brown explained. “But I don’t know about that. You’ll never hear me blame the officials or anything. I disagree with calls, but it’s a really hard game to officiate.”

“Going back to the question you were asking about Narduzzi. They did a really good job. I’m not pleased with the officials, either. I feel his pain on that. But I don’t necessarily think they beat them. You know, we’re the one that got a long touchdown called back,” Brown explained.
