The NASCAR Cup Series will continue the Round of 12 at one of the sport’s most exciting venues, as the campaign moves to Talladega Superspeedway for the YellaWood 500.

Earlier this season, Tyler Reddick was victorious at Talladega, outlasting the field coming to the line in what was an insane finish. As for last season’s playoff race, Ryan Blaney ended up in Victory Lane, using the momentum and riding the wave all the way to the 2023 Cup Series title.

Who will be able to claim they tamed one of NASCAR’s most difficult tracks this time around? It’s anyone’s guess, but FanDuel Sportsbook tried to make sense of it, providing betting lines for the entire field to win the YellaWood 500. Check them out below.

Joey Logano (+1200)

Joey Logano started in the top five, and he was hoping to finish there in Kansas, but it wasn’t meant to be for the No. 22. Instead, the two-time Cup Series champion was forced to settle for a P14 afternoon, not too shabby to start the Round of 12.

When the Cup Series returns to Alabama on Sunday, Logano will be racing at Talladega for the 32nd time. He has two wins at the track, but he hasn’t finished above P19 since Oct. 2021. Maybe he can change his luck this time around, as he’s been fast at super speedways all season long.

Ryan Blaney (+1200)

Ryan Blaney captured a top five at Kansas, as the reigning Cup Series champion finished P4 on Sunday afternoon. Ahead of Talladega and the Charlotte Roval, Blaney has put himself in a fantastic position to move onto the Round of 8.

While Talladega is as unpredictable as they come, Blaney has seemingly figured out how to end up in Victory Lane at the track. The Team Penske wheelman has three wins at the track, including one last season in the playoffs.

Brad Keselowski (+1200)

Brad Keselowski may have been eliminated during the Round of 16, but he’s still looking for wins in the Round of 12. Kansas wasn’t exactly a great showing for the RFK Racing wheelman, as he finished P22, but the veteran is always a threat at tracks like Talladega.

Famously, Keselowski won in his first ever try at Talladega, and he’s won in Alabama five times since. It can be argued it’s his best track, and he finished as the runner-up earlier this season. A win would be a huge boon for his No. 6 RFK Racing team, even if they’re not in the playoffs.

Kyle Busch (+1300)

Kyle Busch seemed headed towards a win at Kansas, which would’ve kept his winning streak alive for a 20th season, but an incident with Chase Briscoe sent him into a tailspin. Busch ended up P19, and he’ll be looking to return to Victory Lane at Talladega now.

This will be the veteran wheelman’s 39th attempt at a win in Talladega. He’s completed the ultimate goal twice, including in April 2023 with Richard Childress Racing, so he’ll be looking for another dub after coming painstakingly close at Daytona earlier in August.

Chase Elliott (+1600)

Chase Elliott hasn’t been contending for wins like he would like, but he’s been a staple in the top ten throughout 2024. That was evident once again over the weekend, as NASCAR’s most popular driver scored a P9 finish in Kansas.

This will be Elliott’s 18th trip to Talladega in the Cup Series. He’s won once, back in 2019, and he finished P15 during this year’s spring race. Perhaps he can lock himself into the Round of 8 with a win in Alabama.

Denny Hamlin (+1700)

After a borderline miserable Round of 16, Denny Hamlin started off the Round of 12 with a great run. Many thought he’d be in the running to win at Kansas, and while he wasn’t the best car on the afternoon, Hamlin still came home with a solid P8 finish.

This will be Hamlin’s 38th time racing at Talladega this weekend. Over the course of his Cup Series career, Hamlin has won at the track twice, and he’ll be looking to simply stay out of trouble this time around, with his first championship on his mind.

William Byron (+1700)

William Byron started off the Round of 12 with a great performance, and the No. 24 wheelman certainly needed one. Bryon was the runner-up to Ross Chastain in Kansas, and he’ll be looking to build on his podium finish over the next two weeks.

It seems like each time the Cup Series returns to Talladega, Byron has ended up with a solid finish. The No. 24 wheelman has finished P2 in Alabama twice, including last season’s iteration during the playoffs.

Kyle Larson (+2100)

Kyle Larson was hoping to follow up his Bristol domination with another win at Kansas, but a piece of debris put a damper on his afternoon. That led to Larson being put in a precarious position points-wise, as he finished P26 on Sunday.

Larson has famously never been great at super speedway racing, as it’s the one blemish on his otherwise impeccable record. He only has one top five in 19 tries, so perhaps No. 20 will be special for the No. 5 wheelman.

Alas, Talladega usually brings an unpredictable race, and that goes for drivers both inside and outside of the playoff picture. There will be no love between peers in Alabama, as the Cup Series goes back to one of their top venues this weekend.
