Talladega! It is the biggest party on the schedule and as far as paint schemes go, it is one of the best weekends of the NASCAR season. The YellaWood 500 is going to be another epic show at one of the fan-favorite tracks.

The sponsors love to put on their best for Talladega. They know that the eyes will be on NASCAR as they tackle the largest oval track in the sport. 2.66 miles of speed and twisted metal.

While there have been additions to the aero package, fans likely won’t notice to much. Thankfully, the more invasive option, a right-side fin that comes over the windshield, was not applied this week. So, we won’t have anything distracting us from the paint schemes.

Ross Chastain No. 1 Busch Light Camo Chevy

Busch Light and Trackhosue Racing know how to put a paint scheme together. The new car, which looks just like the cans in stores now, is beautiful.

Coming off his win at Kansas, Ross Chastain wants to spoil more playoff races. He has won at Talladega before, and is usually in the mix with a few laps to go. 10/10 scheme, starting the week strong.

Kyle Busch No. 8 Lucas Oil Chevy

Honestly, one of my favorite Kyle Busch paint schemes from Richard Childress Racing. Ever since we saw this car win at Auto Club in the final race at the big track there, it’s had a special place in my heart.

A big blue car with bold letters – you know exactly who this sponsor is. That is why I love this paint scheme so much. 8.5/10.

Chase Elliott No. 9 Kelley Blue Book Chevy

While this year Kelley Blue Book stuck with more or less the same scheme as last NASCAR season, I’ll forgive them. The powder blue on the No. 9 is always welcome as far as I’m concerned.

Chase Elliott has had a quiet season so far. But he has been consistent. Could he find himself in victory lane at Talladega once again? 8/10.

Cody Ware No. 15 Arby’s Ford

Rick Ware Racing and Arby’s have been working together lately. Not only in NASCAR but also in NHRA.

This week Cody Ware gets the chance to race with the red and white colors. McDonald’s and Wendy’s usually have big fan activations at races like this, maybe Arby’s is ready to start a fast food war in NASCAR? 8/10.

Ricky Bobby Ryan Preece No. 41 Wonder Bread Ford

SAVE ME TOM CRUISE! Let’s hope that Ryan Preece avoids getting involved in another insane wreck at a superspeedway this weekend. We don’t need a real-life Ricky Bobby situation going on.

However, we do thank Preece and Stewart-Haas for bringing the Wonder Bread paint scheme back to NASCAR. It just looks so right going 195MPH at Talladega. 10/10 – If you ain’t first, you’re last.

John Hunter Nemechek No. 42 GearWrech Toyota

People forget that Legacy Motor Club snatched a few sponsors from Stewart-Haas after last year. GearWrench was one of them.

John Hunter Nemechek is bringing a fast-looking No. 42 to Talladega. Can he find success towards the end of the season? 8.5/10.

Erik Jones No. 43 Dollar Tree Toyota (Pink Edition)

You are going to start seeing those pink window nets on the cars soon. Right now, Erik Jones is getting NASCAR fans ready with this great pink Dollar Tree car for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

I really like the Dollar Tree cars, and this one is no different. Great looking racecar that fans are going to love watching on the track. Nice and bright. 8/10.

Daniel Suárez No. 99 Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge Chevy

To round out what may have been our best batch of cars all year long, Daniel Suárez – Trackhouse Racing. Once again Trackhouse is killing it. Black bricks with neon pink accents and lettering, resembling neon lights on Broadway in Nashville.

Suárez has been having a solid NASCAR Playoffs. However, he needs to put up a couple of really strong results at Talladega and the Roval to make the Round of 8. 9.5/10. Gorgeous car.
