KSR Today: Ole Miss Week begins in Lexington
It is Ole Miss Week in Lexington as your University of Kentucky Wildcats prepare for their first game away from Kroger Field this season, a road trip to Ole Miss. Kentucky closed out its four-game home stand with a 2-2 record against Southern Miss, South Carolina, Georgia, and Ohio, the latter losing 41-6 to the Wildcats over the weekend. Read all about that game here.
Today, Kentucky will practice for the first time in Week 5, looking ahead to a new opportunity against a top-10 team. Ole Miss is unbeaten this season and in the last three meetings with UK. Let’s start getting ready for the matchup.
A new Monday with Mark
If you’re a regular around here, you should know the Monday routine by now. Mark Stoops speaks at noon every Monday in his weekly coach’s press conference, where, today, he will look back at the win over Ohio and ahead to the trip to Ole Miss.
Then, later this evening, Stoops will take questions from the fans on his weekly coach’s call-in show. Listen to Stoops with host Tom Leach on the UK Sports Network from 6 to 7 p.m. tonight on the UK Sports Network.

Tickets still available for Kentucky Basketball’s Blue-White Preseason Event
Blue-White tickets are still available through Club Blue and Ticketmaster for the Friday, October 18 preseason event. The tickets are much pricier this year because the event has been rebranded, rebuilt, and relocated, adding an NIL fundraising aspect, changing the entire format, and moving it to Historic Memorial Coliseum. The night will feature the men’s and women’s teams. Mark Pope told KSR that he and his assistants will be mic’d up for the men’s scrimmage, which will be so competitive, it could draw blood. Pope encouraged fans to bring pom poms and notebooks.
