Kentucky WBB target 2028 PG Chloe Johnson talks Blue-White Preseason Event visit
At Big Blue Madness, Kentucky hosted a plethora of visitors for the event, but that wasn’t the case with the Blue-White Preseason Event. There was only one visitor in-house on Friday, but it was a significant one — 2028 point guard Chloe Johnson.
Once some more rankings come out, Johnson will almost certainly be a top 10 prospect in the class. In fact, our friends over at World Exposure Report (WER) have her ranked as the No. 2 prospect in the class already.
Johnson took the time to talk with KSR about her brief Kentucky visit. As a point guard herself, she enjoyed watching the Kenny Brooks and Georgia Amoore connection in-person.
“I just think Kenny is an amazing person,” Johnson said. “He cares about his players so much. I am a point guard, and I love watching him coach Georgia. Everyone was so nice. It was a good time!“
Brooks has put tons of his time into making sure his point guard position is solid, and that’s clear as day with Amoore. Now, he’s continuing to do that by going after the best point guards in the country, like Johnson.
It also helps that Brooks made sure to hang out with Johnson for a bit during the Blue-White Preseason Event.
In the 2025 class, Brooks is disadvantaged by the fact that he’s getting a later start on these recruitments than some other programs, but he’s making sure to go after the future talent, like Johnson, early to get a head start.
