Kentucky commit Jasper Johnson continued to make his mark at the national level this past weekend at the 2024 Wootten 150 camp — an annual two-day, invite-only event held out in Las Vegas. Joined by some of high school’s top prospects in front of 29 NBA team representatives and the McDonald’s All-American Game committee, the future Wildcat was named one of the top standouts at the prestigious camp by ESPN’s Paul Biancardi.

What separated his game from other attendees? Scoring, of course.

“A big combo guard, Johnson displayed his rhythm scoring ability,” Biancardi wrote. “He went anywhere on the court and was comfortable quickly taking advantage of space to score while demonstrating his long-range jumper, pull-up game and driving talent. Mark Pope and Kentucky have a homegrown national recruit with advanced scoring talent on the way.”

Oh, and he also did this — pretty good, if you ask me.

Johnson was one of nine seniors singled out by Biancardi to go with three other underclassmen, joined by one other Kentucky target in four-star forward Niko Bundalo. The top-20 prospect will choose between Michigan, Ohio State, Kentucky, Kansas, UConn and North Carolina when it comes time for a decision. Until then, though, he’s showing off why he’s one of the most skilled forwards in the class of 2025.

“Bundalo was one of the more skilled, mobile big men at the camp,” Biancardi added. “He drove the ball from the high post with some emphatic finishes and showed inside footwork, moves and touch. Bundalo was also an effective spacer, either with his lefty jumper or by setting ball screens to pop out or roll to the rim. He’s loaded with natural talent that continues to develop.”

Former Kentucky target Braylon Mullins, along with Jalen Haralson, Nikolas Khamenia, Isiah Harwell, Darius Acuff, Matt Able, Xavion Staton, Jacob Lanier, Arafan Diané and Obinna Ekezie were the others to make the list.

One of the Wildcats’ other top targets, Acaden Lewis, was named as an honorable mention, as well. He recently cut his list to three with UK, UConn and Duke remaining in contention.

We won’t have to wait long to find out if Lewis will be joining Johnson in Lexington.
