Iowa defense continues learning process
Two of the leaders of the Iowa defense are Jay Higgins and Quinn Schulte. They are key cogs in what the Hawkeyes do on Saturday against Minnesota. But, there were some developments, both good and bad that were learning experiences this past weekend.
One the positive side, Higgins discusses the highlight making blocks made by Nick Jackson on an interception return by Jermari Harris, where he blocked two players on the same play. Then there’s Schulte, who is the leader on the back end of the Hawkeye defense, trying to address the two blown coverage plays by Iowa that resulted in long touchdowns. He shares what he told cornerback TJ Hall after those plays.
