Florida State fan puts out savage anti-D.J. Uiagalelei sign ahead of Clemson game

Florida State fan puts out savage anti-D.J. Uiagalelei sign ahead of Clemson game

As DJ Uiagalelei prepared to face his former team, he received from friendly fire from his current school. With Florida State facing Clemson in Week 6, one Seminoles fans wishes the Tigers still had Uiagalelei, who started his career with Clemson.

Photos emerged Saturday of a sign the fan had put outside of their home. It read, “Clemson, while you’re here, take DJ back.”

Uiagalelei began his college career with the Tigers and was the successor to Trevor Lawrence, who led Clemson to a national championship in 2018. He started in both 2021 and 2022 before being benched in the ACC Championship in the latter season, going on to transfer to Oregon State.

He led the Beavers to an 8-5 record before transferring again to Tallahassee this offseason. It’s been a horrific start thus far, as Uiagalelei had thrown for six interceptions to just four touchdowns entering the game against his former team.

So far this season, the Seminoles are off to a 1-4 after finishing the 2023 regular season as undefeated ACC Champions. The poor quarterback play is a big reason to blame for that.

Saturday marks the first time that Uiagalelei will meet Clemson since he transferred from the program.
