Deion Burks came to Oklahoma with the expectation that he would have a massive impact on the Sooners’ offense this season. However, he’s only been able to play in four games this season, with his last game coming in September against Tennessee. There, he suffered a “soft tissue” injury. Still, he has 26 receptions for 201 yards and three touchdowns. Those all lead the team.

Oklahoma is also listing multiple defensive backs and a defensive lineman as being out for this game. Meaning, the Sooners’ depth is going to be tested across the board.

Meanwhile for the Gamecocks, they injury bug has hasn’t hurt them as much this season. South Carolina listed five players out as early as Wednesday, and no one else joined that list throughout the week.

Coming into the game, Oklahoma is 4-2 on the season but just 1-2 in SEC play to open their first season in the conference. That includes a 31-point loss to rival Texas in their last time out while only scoring three points. Meanwhile, South Carolina lost a heartbreaking game to Alabama. With that, the Gamecocks fell to 3-3 on the season and just 1-3 in SEC play.

Kickoff is scheduled for 12:45 p.m. ET and will air live on the SEC Network. The Gamecocks are 1.5-point favorites to beat the Sooners on the road heading into the matchup.
