Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb yells at Dak Prescott amid Ravens loss

Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb yells at Dak Prescott amid Ravens loss

The Dallas Cowboys battled back valiantly to nearly stun the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. But the Cowboys ended up losing the game. Now they’ve lost two of their first three games. And frustrations appear to be boiling to the surface for Dallas. We saw tensions flare up on the sidelines between Cowboys star receiver CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott on Sunday.

Lamb hauled in four catches for 67 yards on seven targets on Sunday. He had a fumble in the redzone in the first half that was critical in the three-point loss to the Ravens. His body language after that play wasn’t great. And that’s when he was seen exchanging words with Prescott and Zack Martin.

Following the game, Lamb did not show up in the locker room for media interviews. It makes sense that both Lamb and Prescott will be feeling the heat in Dallas, after their sluggish 1-2 start to the 2024 season. That’s surely not what Jerry Jones and Cowboys fans had in mind when he shelled out massive, massive contract extensions to both players recently.

More on Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb and their contracts

Lamb had been begging for a new deal for several weeks in training camp. He’s locked up for at least the next four seasons. Lamb will be making $136 million with a signing bonus of $38 million — the largest handed out to anybody at the position.

Prescott’s extension is for four years and $240 million. His contract has an average annual value of $60 million. That surpasses both Trevor Lawrence and Joe Burrow who have an AAV of $55 million at the quarterback position. Thanks to the new contract, the market has been reset for quarterbacks in the NFL.

While their contracts loom large, there’s still plenty of football remaining in the 2024 NFL campaign. Last year, Dak Prescott threw for over 4,500 yards, while tossing in 36 touchdowns with nine interceptions. Last year, Lamb hauled in over 1,700 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns, once again showcasing that he’s one of the best receivers in the league.
