BWI Live: Penn State vs. UCLA recruiting and game preview

BWI Live: Penn State vs. UCLA recruiting and game preview

The Penn State Nittany Lions take on the UCLA Bruins on Saturday for the first time as Big Ten opponents. It’s also the last of a four-game home stand that the Nittany Lions started in the second week of the 2024 season after opening up at West Virginia. That means it’s one more week with a recruiting visitor list. On today’s BWI Live Recruiting Show, we discuss the latest recruiting news and who will be at the game this weekend. Join us at 10 a.m. on YouTube to discuss the important names in Nittany Lions recruiting. You can also see the replay on our YouTube channel or in this article.

Penn State Football practice update and highlights

Before we start the show with recruiting news, we need to discuss the latest team update from Wednesday evening. Penn State opened practice to the media on Wednesday evening inside Holuba Hall, and head coach James Franklin spoke with the media after the event. What did we see and hear that’s important for this weekend? We’ll discuss.

Recruiting News and Visitor preview

Last weekend’s primetime kickoff was a major opportunity for the Nittany Lions to attract top recruiting talent to Happy Valley for the win over Illinois. Recruiting experts Ryan Snyder and Sean Fitz spent the last week contacting recruits and getting a sense of how the experience went for them. We’ll discuss the most important players they’ve talked to and the most interesting conversations.

However, the next list is always the most important one. Snyder and Fitz are working hard to end the week by confirming players who will attend the upcoming game. Which names stand out from that list? They’ll discuss the most interesting players joining the team for the showdown with UCLA.

Game Preview

Finally, we’ll preview the team’s matchup with UCLA. What do we think are the major factors that will determine the outcome? The Bruins travel to the East Coast as a nearly 30-point underdog. It doesn’t seem that Penn State is in danger of an upset, but what do we want to see from the team? What do you want to see from your Nittany Lions? Join us and give your thoughts in the live chat!
