Jones played a pivotal role in Minnesota’s victory over its NFC North rival. He rushed for 93 yards on 22 carries and hauled in four receptions for 46 yards.
Jones said that some Packers defenders were talking to him after the game about not letting him Lambeau Leap in the game. He responded, “You guys should be worried about the score,” per Will Ragatz of Sports Illustrated.
Jones got his Lambeau Leap in, though it wasn’t the one Packers fans wanted to see.
“It feels amazing,” Jones said of his return to Green Bay. “It’s just hitting me now. I had a group of guys who came out today and they told me, ‘Hey, we got your back. We got you.’ They really did. This game meant the world to me, just being back here where it all started. Having somebody doubt you, moving on from you, is kind of telling you that in their opinion they can find better or you’re not good anymore, whatever it may be.
“To go out there and have a great game against them and come out on top with a win, you can’t say nothing to me.”
