Rock Hill (S.C.) four-star wide receiver Malik Clark has decommitted from Florida State, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

He was pledged to the Seminoles since July 25, when he chose them over North Carolina and South Carolina.

Clark is the No. 221 overall prospect and No. 27 WR in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 2 player in South Carolina.

Less than a month ago in an interview with On3’s Chad Simmons, Clark updated his commitment, stating that he was still “locked in” with the Noles.

“Controversy and adversity come with the game, so you just have to be tough mentally and keep working on your craft,” Clark told On3. “My visit today was great, and it wasn’t the results I expected, but I am still locked in.”

“Of course the home team (South Carolina) stays in contact as well as my guy coach Lonnie Galloway at North Carolina, but I don’t have any visits to other schools planned.

Now, following FSU’s sluggish start to the season, the 6-foot-2.5, 180-pounder is back on the board as one of the top uncommitted wideouts in the nation. His decommitment leaves two wide receivers in Mike Norvell’s 2025 class: Milton (Ga.) four-star CJ Wiley and Lucas (Texas) Lovejoy four-star Daylan McCutcheon.

With Clark no longer in the mix in Tallahassee, Florida State’s 2205 recruiting class now features just 11 commitments and ranks No. 18 in the nation, per the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Jacksonville Raines five-star interior offensive lineman Solomon Thomas continues to headline the class as the No. 18 overall prospect and top-ranked IOL in the nation. He is the lone top-100 prospect in the mix, as of Oct. 1.

Five additional top-300 recruits remain in the class alongside Thomas, Wiley and McCutcheon: Greensboro (Ga.) Greene County four-star defensive lineman Kevin Wynn, Fort Valley (Ga.) Houston County four-star IOL Peyton Joseph, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage four-star running back Byron Louis, Jacksonville Mandarin four-star quarterback Tramell Jones and Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage four-star safety Greg Thomas.
