4-star SG Mazi Mosley commits to LSU

4-star SG Mazi Mosley commits to LSU

Mazi Mosley, a four-star shooting guard in the 2025 class, has committed to LSU and head coach Matt McMahon, he told On3.

The 6-foot-4 senior out of Montverde Academy (FL) chose the Tigers over USC, Michigan, Iowa, and others.

Mosley is the No. 62 overall recruit in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He’s also the No. 18 shooting guard prospect. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Mosley becomes LSU’s second commitment in the class, joining four-star PF Matt Gilhool (No. 74 nationally).

Mosley on his commitment to LSU

Mazi Mosley discussed his decision to choose LSU with On3.

“I chose LSU because I enjoyed the culture as well as the homelike feeling I received when I got there. I like how coach McMahon develops guards. I like how the coaching staff brings good energy every day.”

Mosley noted as a standout at top events over the summer

According to On3’s Jamie Shaw, Mazi Mosley was a standout at the prestigious NBPA Top-100 Camp in June.

“Mazi Mosley has long carried the reputation as a shooter. Pushing 6-foot-6, he has long arms and played with good balance. The shot was clean off the catch and off the bounce. He was also comfortable getting to spots in the half-court off one or two dribbles. He will need to continue getting more consistent, especially playing off the ball. But the shot-making aspect was intriguing this week.”

Mosley was also a standout according to Shaw at the Pangos All-American Camp as well.

“Mazi Mosley simply went about his business and picked his spots to find his production. The 6-foot-6 shooting guard often displayed his soft shooting touch with the deep range. He was able to play off his jump shot, Mosley was 9-14 from three in pool play, to attack closeouts and finish at the rim. Mosley has a projectable frame with good length. He should continue to add good weight as he advances levels. Even in this camp setting, Mosley did not force the play and let things come to him. He was also not afraid of the moment, calling for the ball when the game was close late. It was a nice weekend for the four-star.”
