When 2025 five-star wing Kaelyn Carroll was on her official visit to Kentucky, she wasn’t the only high-profile target on campus.

Four-star guard Adelaide Jernigan, the No. 58 prospect in the 2025 class (according to ESPN), posted to her social media that she had just concluded an official visit to Kentucky as well.

Jernigan is down to NC State, Michigan and Kentucky, and she told On3’s Talia Goodman that she will be visiting Michigan on September 20-22. She visited NC State on August 29-31, so a commitment sometime soon following her trip to Ann Arbor is likely.

She visited Virginia Tech three times when Brooks was still there, and this was her first time seeing what Kentucky has to offer. Jernigan is really fond of Brooks and what he built at Virginia Tech.

“So, I really liked Virginia Tech,” Jernigan told Goodman. “They recruited me freshman year as well. I just have always really liked Kenny [Brooks]. They put your relationship first. Player development is really big for him, and I like that a lot. They care a ton with recruiting – I played tennis and they came to a tennis match once. I really liked the coaching staff for Virginia Tech, and I’m friends with Georgia Amoore – we used to call and text when she was at Virginia Tech, and we still text here and there now that she’s at Kentucky, but I really like her. And then obviously, I loved Liz Kitley because she’s 20 minutes from my house.”

Jernigan and Carroll could both be two foundational pieces of the program moving forward, and both of them should announce their college commits in the not-so-distant future.
