Kirby Smart stays on field to console Georgia players following near comeback vs. Alabama
Georgia coach Kirby Smart didn’t want his players to get too down after their comeback fell short against Alabama on Saturday. After at one point trailing by five touchdowns, the Bulldogs battled all the way back to make it a one-score game late in the fourth quarter.
Unfortunately, they couldn’t get all the way over the early deficit as they fell 41-34 for their first loss of the season. Smart was seen postgame standing in the end zone making sure to keep his team’s spirits high following the tough loss.
Alabama scored the first five touchdowns of the game to go up 35-0 by the 12:32 mark in the second quarter. The Georgia seemingly couldn’t stop Jalen Milroe, who scored four of those five touchdowns.
