Taylor Swift arrives at Arrowhead Stadium ahead of Chiefs vs. Buccaneers on MNF
*She* has arrived. And by she, of course we mean Taylor Swift.
The biggest pop star on the planet arrived to GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium ahead of the Monday Night Football matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs (7-0) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-4). Swift walked past the media and to her stadium suite wearing a black leather Chiefs jacket.
Swift, the girlfriend of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, is in attendance for the third time this season and first since the Week 5 home victory over the New Orleans Saints (2-7). The Chiefs play well just about every week as it is but are especially dominant when Swift is watching from above. Kansas City is 13-3 with the “Cruel Summer” singer in the building dating back to her first appearance in Week 3 last season.
Perhaps Kelce will have another vintage performance Monday night, as he’s become more effective as the season has gone on. He hauled in 10 receptions for 90 yards in the Week 8 road win over the Las Vegas Raiders, and now leads the team with 38 catches for 335 yards, to go along with one score.
Chiefs, Buccaneers set for Monday Night Football matchup with Taylor Swift in attendance
Kelce and quarterback Patrick Mahomes will look to feast against a Buccaneers defense which ranks 30th in the league, giving up 135 points in their last four games. Tampa Bay knows it will have its hands full with Mahomes and co.
“He [Mahomes] just knows how to win – he’s a winner,” Buccaneers safety Antoine Winfield Jr. said this week. “You see that every week. Even if he doesn’t play his best, he finds a way to win the game. That’s something that we know going into the game…I know he has some interceptions and stuff like that, but he finds a way to win. We’ve got to do our best to not let that happen.”
