Michigan benches quarterback Alex Orji, puts in Jack Tuttle

And on Saturday against the Washington Huskies, they once again tried another option. Michigan decided to bench quarterback Alex Orji and put Jack Tuttle in the game in the second quarter.

Washington currently leads Michigan 14-10 with 17 seconds remaining in the first half. Before being benched, Orji completed 3 of 7 passes for 15 yards. Michigan was trailing Washington 14-0 in the second quarter, but they finished the half with some impressive plays from their defense. Defensive lineman Mason Graham blocked a field goal attempt at the end of the first half, keeping the Wolverines within striking distance, 14-10 at the break.
