Tennessee at Arkansas: Final injury report revealed

Tennessee at Arkansas: Final injury report revealed

Tennessee and Arkansas released their final injury reports ahead of their Saturday night showdown. The two teams will square off in primetime on ABC.

Both teams entered Saturday with multiple players out. For Arkansas, the biggest name was Rodney Hill, who serves as the Razorbacks’ No. 2 running back and ranks third on the team in rushing entering Week 6. He was ruled out early in the week and will officially miss the game against Tennessee.

On the Tennessee side, all four players ruled out are on the defensive side of the ball. That means the Volunteers’ offense will be healthy as they return from the bye week following a huge victory over Oklahoma in Week 4.

Tennessee is still riding high from that game as Nico Iamaleava continues to excite during his sophomore season. As for Arkansas, the Razorbacks are trying to shake off last week’s loss to Texas A&M to fall to 3-2 overall and 1-1 in SEC play.

Tennessee took plenty of momentum into the bye week after defeating Oklahoma in Josh Heupel’s return to Norman. It was the first big test for the Volunteers, who passed with flying colors as they headed into the idle week.

The hype continues to build around Iamaleava and Tennessee this year. In fact, FOX Sports’ Joel Klatt said the Vols are a “legitimate national title contender.”

“I’m pleasantly surprised with what’s going on with Tennessee,” Klatt said. “They have the number one scoring offense in the country. They’ve got the number two scoring defense in the country. They’re doing it on both sides of the ball. And candidly, I’m all in on Tennessee.”
