Humboldt (Tenn.) Brentwood Academy three-star Georgia defensive lineman commit Stephon Shivers has reopened his recruitment, he announced on Saturday morning.

Shivers confirmed with DawgsHQ that he has not decommitted from the SEC program, but is not closing the door on other schools. He has been pledged to the Bulldogs since March 22, when he chose them over the likes of Auburn, Ole Miss, Oregon and Tennessee.

Shivers is the No. 431 overall prospect and No. 37 DL in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 14 player in Tennessee.

The 6-foot-4.5, 380-pounder holds over 10 other Power Four offers. Back in April, Shivers was named a top performer at the Under Armour Next Series camp in Nashville by On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power:

“Shivers looked to be the largest defensive lineman on hand, perhaps by a good margin. The 6-foot-4, 350-pounder looks like a pure nose tackle at the next level. Shivers was a load for offensive linemen to handle in 1-on-1’s winning with pure power via his bull rush,” Power wrote. “Once the Humboldt (Tenn.) High product generated a head of steam, he was able to walk offensive linemen deep into the backfield. While he’ll need to continue improving his quickness and overall movement skills, there’s no doubt the Bulldogs have a big, physical presence in the fold.”

In an interview with OM Spirit at the end of August, Shivers noted that he was still communicating with Florida, Vanderbilt, Texas, Oregon and recently Ole Miss.
