The Slate: Ohio State commits schedule Oct. 3-5

COLUMBUS – Ohio State is hosting Iowa on Saturday while the Buckeyes of tomorrow are preparing for several big high school football games this weekend.

High school football seasons are underway for all 26 commitments in Ohio State’s 2025 class and the Buckeyes lone commitment in the 2026 class.

Quarterback

Five-Star Plus+ Bellefontaine (Ohio) quarterback Tavien St. Clair hosts New Carlisle (Ohio) Tecumseh on Friday.

Running back

Four-star Cleveland (Ohio) Villa Angela-St. Joseph running back Bo Jackson hosts Cincinnati (Ohio) Dohn Community on Saturday. Jackson is unlikely to play due to an injury.

Three-star Philadelphia (Pa.) St. Joseph’s Prep running back Isaiah West travels to Glenside (Pa.) La Salle College on Saturday.

Wide receiver

Four-star Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic wide receiver Quincy Porter is off this week.

Four-star Mission Viejo (Calif.) wide receiver Phillip Bell hosts Long Beach (Calif.) Poly on Friday.

Four-star Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic wide receiver De’zie Jones travels to Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep on Friday. The Spartans are 5-0 to start the 2024 season.

Three-star Mansfield (Ohio) Ontario wide receiver Bodpegn Miller travels to Marion (Ohio) Pleasant on Friday. The Warriors are 6-0 on the season.

2026 Five-Star Plus+ Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. travels to Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Santa Margarita Catholic on Friday.

Tight end

Four-star Washington (Okla.) tight end Nate Roberts hosts Marietta (Okla.) on Friday.

Four-star Cleveland (Ohio) Gilmour Academy tight end Brody Lennon travels to Cleveland (Ohio) Central Catholic on Friday. The Lancers are off to a 6-0 start this season.

Offensive line

Four-star Toledo (Ohio) Whitmer offensive tackle Carter Lowe travels to Perrysburg (Ohio) on Friday.

Four-star Upper Marlboro (Md.) Riverdale Baptist interior offensive lineman Jayvon McFadden is off this week.

Three-star Westerville North (Ohio) interior offensive lineman Jake Cook hosts Galloway (Ohio) Westland on Friday.

Defensive line

Four-star Philadelphia (Pa.) Imhotep Institute EDGE Zahir Mathis host Philadelphia (Pa.) Northeast on Saturday.

Four-star Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy EDGE London Merritt travels to Venice (Fla.) on Friday.

Four-star Troy (Ala.) Enterprise EDGE Zion Grady is off this week.

Four-star Matthews (N.C.) Weddington defensive lineman Trajen Odom is off this week.

Four-star Delran (N.J.) St. Joseph’s Prep defensive lineman travels to Glenside (Pa.) La Salle College on Saturday. Roy is unlikely to play due to injury.

Four-star Newberry (Fla.) defensive lineman Jarquez Carter travels to Alachua (Fla.) Santa Fe on Friday.
