Georgia is off to a 3-1 start with a dominant 34-3 win over Clemson to open the season before beating Tennessee Tech (48-3) and Kentucky (13-12). UGA’s defense didn’t allow a touchdown in the first three games, a stretch that extended 16 quarters in total dating back to the Orange Bowl. However, it all came to a hault last Saturday as the Bulldogs fell for the first time in the regular season since 2020, suffering a 41-34 loss at Alabama.

The Crimson Tide jumped out to a 28-0 lead with touchdowns on each of their first four drives, capitalizing on a couple of first half turnovers to do so. Trailing 30-7 at the break after finally getting on the board but giving two points back with an untimely safety, Carson Beck and company stormed back and even took the lead briefly before 17-year-old freshman wide receiver Ryan Williams raced 75 yards for the go-ahead score and five-star cornerback Zabien Brown intercepted Beck on an attempted game-tying drive to seal the deal on the result.

Georgia is back in action this coming Saturday with one of the nation’s longest rivalries. Having played 128 times in total, Georgia-Auburn is known as the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry. The Bulldogs hold a  64-56-8 advantage and have won seven in a row dating back to the 2017 SEC Championship Game. They are favorites of 24 points or more according to VegasInsider.

Kickoff time for Saturday’s contest is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC. It’s Georgia’s first game in the friendly confines of Sanford Stadium since September 7th – 28 days ago at the time of kickoff.
