Oregon LB Bryce Boettcher on INT vs UCLA: “It felt real good.”

Oregon linebacker Bryce Boettcher has become one of Oregon’s key players on defense. The Eugene native has been all over the field on defense and even raked in his first interception this season against UCLA.

As many know, Boettcher was drafted in the MLB draft by the Houston Astros. But he decided to return to Oregon for his final season of football with the Ducks. Which had to be great news for Lanning who was able to keep one of his star defenders.

On Tuesday following Oregon’s only practice availability this week, Boettcher spoke with media about his interception and his decision to return.

On INT vs UCLA:

“It felt real good. I was playing our coverage and I was just trying to deny inside, he broke outside and I made a play and the quarterback threw it a little behind him and I was at the right spot at the right time.”

On Prepping for Friday Game vs Saturday:

“Just our same prep. We’re prepping this week the same way we did week one.”

On Decision to Return for Football:

“It’s been super fun and super rewarding to come back. I’m excited for the future.”

On Momentum entering B1G play:

“They’re huge. Obviously this weekends game is the biggest because it’s the next one. Just building off that momentum going into the season.”

On Michigan State Offense:

“It’s pretty similar. We’ve been watching a lot of film. It’s pretty similar to past teams.”
