Georgia is surging heavily for 4-star RB Ousmane Kromah per RPM

It looks like Georgia could add a big-time running back to it’s class by the end of the week. Lee County (Leesburg, Ga.) playmaker Ousmane Kromah is announcing his college choice on Saturday and the Bulldogs are trending heavily with days to go according to the Recruiting Prediction Machine.

On3’s National Director of Recruiting, Chad Simmons, put in a pick for UGA today. Vice President of Recruiting and Transfer Portal Steve Wiltfong also made a pick. Those two selections have allowed Georgia to grab 67.6 percent of the predictive feature, overtaking Auburn for the top spot. Up until those two picks the Tigers held over 80 percent of the RPM.

Kromah’s recruitment is reportedly down to Georgia and Auburn while Florida State, Tennessee, and Miami are also still involved to lesser extents. During his sophomore and junior seasons at Lee County, Kromah racked up a total of 3,287 rushing yards and 40 touchdowns.

On3 Scouting on Ousmane Kromah…

At 6-foot-1 215 pounds, Kromah is the nation’s No. 112 overall prospect and No. 5 running back according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that includes all four websites that publish recruiting rankings. He’s the No. 13 prospect in the Peach State.

“True every down back with an extremely well-rounded skill set. Has readymade size, checking in at 6-foot-0.5 and around 215 pounds prior to his junior season. Kromah has a unique build with very long arms and a bow-legged gait. A productive workhorse for one of the top high school programs in south Georgia. Averaged over 160 rushing yards per game as a sophomore and junior and 10 yards per carry as a junior. An extremely tough runner who is very difficult to bring down on contact. Trucks and carries defenders at the second level. Not going down with an arm tackle.

“Shows good burst and play speed and is capable of ripping off long runs with regularity. A plus receiver and one of the more natural pass-catchers among high school running back prospects. Kromah even splits out to receiver on passing downs for his high school. A big-time mismatch in the passing game and already runs routes at a high level. Doubles as a good basketball player averaging over 10 points per game as a sophomore for a team that made a deep run in the state playoffs. Older for the class, turning 18 years-old in December of his junior year. Though he projects as one of the top running backs in the 2025 cycle, has the potential to also be a star at other spots.”
