7-1 center Jackson McVey down to 5 schools

Jackson McVey, a 7-foot-1 three-star big man in the class of 2025, is down to five schools: Georgia, Georgia Tech, Florida, Florida State, and Stanford.

A native of Ellijay, Georgia, McVey is attending Overtime Elite in Atlanta for his senior year of high school.

McVey has taken official visits to each of his finalists.

McVey is the No. 217 overall recruit in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He’s also the No. 23 center prospect. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

While playing with Team Curry on the Under Armour circuit over the summer, he averaged 6.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.

Both of McVey’s parents played college basketball. His mom at North Georgia and his dad at Berry College.
