Ohio State defeated Michigan State by a score of 38-7 to kick off conference play on Saturday. The Buckeyes were in control from the get go as they forced three turnovers and held the Spartans to only 47 yards rushing on the day.

True freshman receiver Jeremiah Smith continues to impress as he finished with five catches for 83 yards and a touchdown while also running in a score on the ground. He now has five receiving touchdowns on the year, which is only three shy of tying the school record for a freshman.

The Buckeyes rank top five in the country in both scoring offense and scoring defense.

As for Iowa, the Hawkeyes are off to a 3-1 start to the season. They also opened up Big Ten play with a win, defeating Minnesota by a score of 31-14 in Week 4 before getting a bye this past week.

Iowa has been known over the past few seasons for having elite defense accompanied by a below average offense. However, it has scored at least 30 points in three of its four games so far this season.

The Hawkeyes will face perhaps their biggest test of the season against Ohio State, however. Running back Kaleb Johnson has rushed for at least 100 yards and two touchdowns in every game so far this season and will look to keep that streak alive against the Buckeyes.
