Stephen A. Smith predicts Alabama beats Georgia in takeover of Paul Finebaum Show

Stephen A. Smith predicts Alabama beats Georgia in takeover of Paul Finebaum Show

The Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs both have bye weeks to get ready for their rematch of last season’s SEC Championship Game. Even with that, ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith is looking ahead and predicted that Alabama will win that game.

“This ain’t Paul Finebaum, y’all. It’s your boy Stephen A. Smith. That’s right,” Smith said. “I’m here in his studio. Do you know why? Because I’m taking over. I have taken over his show.”

“He was very disrespectful to me the other day on First Take,” Smith said. “Okay, and he’s been very disrespectful about Alabama who’s going to handle their business against Georgia. Y’all hear me Georgia Bulldogs? You hear me? Alabama is coming even without Nick Saban.”

The Georgia Bulldogs are traveling to Tuscaloosa Alabama for a showdown on Saturday, September 28th. It’s bound to be the marquee game of that week and quite possibly could help shape the race in the SEC this season. This will also be the first time these two have played without Nick Saban on the sidelines since 2003. Back then, Mike Shula was the coach for Alabama.

“I can say that, even on the Paul Finebaum Show because dammit he don’t say it enough. You heard what I said. I’m taking over right now,” Smith concluded.

As Stephen A. Smith finished up, Paul Finebaum snuck past him, quietly saying that “We have a show to do.”

This will be the first time new Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer takes on Georgia as the Alabama coach. That adds an interesting new dynamic to this game. At the center of it, however, this is still going to be a game between two of the top ranked teams in the country. As of of now, they’re both ranked in the Top 5 of the AP Poll and since both teams are on a bye week, it’s unlikely either will fall too far in the rankings ahead of their meeting.

This story will be updated.
