Ryan Day responds to Charles Huff trying to lure Ohio State players away with biscuits

Ryan Day responds to Charles Huff trying to lure Ohio State players away with biscuits

In the NIL era, coaches are always trying different tactics to lure players to their schools across the country. On Wednesday, Marshall head coach Charles Huff decided to have some fun and offer up some Tudor’s biscuits to any Buckeye player that wanted to transfer to Huntington to join the Thundering Herd. In his Wednesday evening session with reporters, OSU head coach Ryan Day had nothing but praise for Huff and he enjoyed the joke.

“Yeah. Yeah. Somebody sent that. First of all, again, I have a lot of respect for him. I think he’s very thorough in his approach. I think he does a really good job in communicating. Runs a really good program. I’ve got a lot of respect for him. But I thought the way he handled that was great. Sometimes as coaches we take ourselves too seriously. You know? And I just thought he was having a great moment there,” Day explained.

“But listen, those guys are gonna come here to play. You know? And he’s gonna get those guys ready. And I know that for a fact. They’re a good team and he’s a good coach, good staff, good players. And they’ve got a lot to come in here and prove. Every day you want to prove somebody right and prove somebody wrong. And they’re gonna come in the same way. We’ve gotta be ready for that,” Day finished.
