Arkansas vs. Auburn: Wednesday injury report revealed

Auburn and Arkansas will open up SEC play against each other when the Razorbacks travel to Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturday. The injury report for both teams was released on Wednesday, giving an idea of which players might miss out on the action.

There’s still three days until kickoff and some of the players listed are questionable to play, while others are officially out. The Tigers have four players listed as questionable, including receiver Cam Coleman, so fans will want to check back for another report closer to game time.

Arkansas coach Sam Pittman had high praise for Auburn head man Hugh Freeze ahead of the matchup. Freeze is in his second year as the Tigers coach after leading them to a 6-7 record in 2023.

“There’s no doubt in my mind he’ll do a great job there,” Pittman said. “They play hard. I mean, they look the part. I think they’re gonna have a really good team throughout the entire season. I think they’ll be a hard out for whoever plays them.

“I have high respect for Coach Freeze. He does a wonderful job. He did a wonderful job when he was at Ole Miss before and a really, really smart guy. [He’s] smart, offensively. I’m sure he is defensively, too. But, offense is kind of his baby, and he does a wonderful, wonderful job.”

Auburn is coming off of 45-19 victory against New Mexico this past week. The Tigers made a change at quarterback to start redshirt freshman Hank Brown over Payton Thorne.

Brown finished 17-of-25 passing for 235 yards and four touchdowns in the win. He will look to keep that rolling in a tougher matchup against the Razorbacks.

Arkansas defeated UAB by a score of 37-27 this past week. The ground game led the way in that one as running back Ja’Quinden Jackson rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown.

Kickoff between the Tigers and Razorbacks is set for 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday.
