Kayden Edwards, a four-star shooting guard in the 2025 class, has committed to TCU and head coach Jamie Dixon, he told On3.

The 6-foot-3 senior out of Dallas (TX) Duncanville High ultimately chose the Horned Frogs over Colorado. He also received offers from USC, LSU, Oklahoma State, and more.

Edwards is the No. 64 overall recruit in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He’s also the No. 17 shooting guard prospect and the No. 7 player in Texas. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Kayden Edwards discussed his decision to stay home and choose the Horned Frogs with On3.

“It was the best fit for me and my dreams and goals for life outside of basketball,” he said. “They’re big on development and took me in like I was one of their own. They care for me not just as a good player but a great young man.”

In his own words, what type of player is TCU getting in Kayden Edwards?

“I play really fast. I don’t get tired. Always have more to give after giving it my all. Just lot of getting out and running in transition.”

He has a message for TCU fans.

“Kayden Edwards is at his absolute best when he is putting the ball in the bucket. The long-armed 6-foot-3 guard has deft shooting touch from three, and his form and release do not change whether he is shooting off of movement, with his feet set or off the bounce. Edwards played on the ball this travel season with the YGC Hoops team on the Puma Pro16 Circuit, showing he was comfortable as s pick and roll primary initiator. He also showed some scoring ability in the mid-range with a variety of pull-ups and floaters. He averaged 23.9 points while shooting 37.6 percent from three for Duncanville (TX) High this season.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw
