Danny Carbuccia, a 5-foot-11 point guard at White Plains (NY) Archbishop Stepinac, has committed to head coach Frank Martin and the UMass Minutemen, he tells On3.

Throughout the process, Carbuccia claimed offers from the likes of Maryland, Seton Hall, Dayton, Xavier, St. Bonaventure, and other programs. He is currently the No. 126 ranked player in the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking.

Carbuccia has been a mainstay with the Dominican Republic Junior National Team. This summer, he played in the FIBA U18 Americup where he averaged 14.8 points and 6.0 assists per game.

This is UMass’ first commitment of the 2025 class.

” Forr me, I’ll say it was just the vibe I got when I went on my visit,” Carbuccia told On3. “The place immediately felt like home and it was the right fit for me.”

Carbuccia also spoke highly of his relationship with head coach Frank Martin and he says they have a clear view of what his role will be with the team.
