Graham is an Anaheim, Calif., native and was offered by USC out of high school, so he has a connection to the program and area. The Trojans will travel to Ann Arbor for Saturday’s game.

“It’s pretty cool,” Graham said. “USC is a historic program. It’s a little different, them coming from the West Coast to the midwest. I know it was different for me, so it’ll be different for those guys as well.

“I played against some of the guys growing up. I’m familiar with their program. It’s gonna be a good game. Just trying to be 1-0.”

The Michigan defensive tackle said he’s played against “three-plus” USC players in his past football life.

Graham was asked how Michigan can be more “disruptive” going forward, after notching just 1 sack in the last two games.

“I mean, I feel like just trying to build every week, play within our game plan, not do anything too crazy, just try to win the game at the end of the day,” the tackle replied. “I feel like that’s our goal every week.”

Michigan made a change at the starting quarterback position, going to junior Alex Orji heading into the USC game. Klein was asked how the offense is operating in practice so far this week.

“Really good,” Klein said. “For the past two to three weeks, I think we’ve kinda found our groove, and we just keep getting better each day. I trust the coaching staff to put whoever at the quarterback position to help this team win. That’s the main goal on Saturdays.”

Klein had 3 catches for a team high 43 yards Saturday against Arkansas State, in a 28-18 victory to improve to 2-1 at the conclusion of non-conference play. Michigan has two more home games in a row — USC, Minnesota — before heading on the road to take on Washington.
