Four-star LB Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng reveals top six schools

Four-star LB Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng reveals top six schools

Longhorns make the cut for the top-100 linebacker.

Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorn coaching staff are still hunting linebackers this cycle and you add another name to keep an eye on moving forward.

Four star Bradenton (FL) IMG Academy linebacker Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng announced earlier this evening that he has narrowed his recruitment down to six programs. The Longhorns have received some mention in this recruitment recently and now they appear to be firmly in the mix for Owusu-Boateng.

Owusu-Boateng took official visits to Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and USC during the summer official visit window and he now scheduled to take an official visit to Texas for Georgia game on October 19th. That is shaping up to be a blockbuster weekend for visitors and it will be a big opportunity for the Longhorns to make an impression with recruits.

Owusu-Boateng is the brother of Cleveland Browns linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, who played his college career at Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish are likely to factor heavy in this recruitment until the end given the familiarity with the program for Owusu-Boateng and his family.

Owusu-Boateng is the 8th ranked linebacker prospect in the country according to 247Sports’ composite rankings and he is the 73rd ranked prospect overall by the same metrics.
