Fever guard Caitlin Clark breaks WNBA rookie scoring record with step back 3-pointer
Another day, another record broken for Caitlin Clark. The Indiana Fever star guard further etched her name into WNBA history as she surpassed Seimone Augustus for the rookie scoring record.
Clark achieved the feat on a step back 3-pointer in the third quarter against the Dallas Wings on Sunday to score her 746th points of the season. Her shot also tied the game at 78 with a little less than three minutes remaining in the quarter. You can view the moment below.

The record is one of many that Clark has broken this season. She has also set the WNBA record for most assists in a season as well as Fever franchise records for most 3-pointers and most double-doubles in a single season.
All this should make the No. 1 overall pick an easy choice to win the Rookie of the Year award. Indiana has already clinched a playoff spot, snapping a seven-year postseason drought.
Clark is led the Fever to a 110-109 victory against the Wings on Sunday to improve their record to 20-19. She poured in 35 points to go along with eight assists as she finished 6-of-14 from 3-point range.
Of all those triples, the one she hit in the third quarter holds special significance. She has put together arguably the best rookie season overall in league history. Indiana has one game remaining in the regular season as it will take on the Washington Mystics at 7 p.m. ET on Thursday.
If the Fever can manage to win that one, they would finish with a record above .500 for the first time since 2016.
