Where does Penn State rank in the Week 4 Associated Press Poll?

Penn State remains one of the nation’s Top 10 programs in the Associated Press Poll following an early season bye week. However, there was quite a bit of movement in this week’s update, as the Nittany Lions dropped two spots to No. 10 in the AP Poll.

There’s also a new No. 1 team in the country, as Texas has surpassed Georgia to take over the top spot. The Bulldogs were challenged Saturday night at Kentucky, winning by just a point, 13-12.

With Ohio State and USC also having the week off, Oregon, Michigan and Nebraska were the only other Big Ten programs previously ranked in action this weekend. After slow starts against Idaho and Boise State the past two weeks, the Ducks looked like the team many expected to see this season, defeating in-state rival Oregon State 49-14. Oregon finished with 549 yards of total offense.

Michigan totaled over 300 yards rushing against Arkansas State Saturday, winning 28-18. However, questions remain about the Wolverines’ passing game, totaling just 134 yards through the air. Quarterback Davis Warren completed 11 of 14 attempts but also had three interceptions.

After beating rival Colorado last weekend, Nebraska kept its momentum going with a 34-3 win over Northern Iowa. Freshman Dylan Raiola had 247 yards passing and two touchdowns, while the Cornhuskers also rushed for 142 yards in the win.

There’s also a new Big Ten program who made cut this week, as Illinois makes its debut at No. 24 in the AP Top 25. The Illini defeated Central Michigan this past week, 30-9. They’ll take on Nebraska this upcoming weekend before traveling to State College at the endo the month.
