• 2Q, 2:57 — Michigan with another rushing touchdown. Kalel Mullings was the man on that drive, and he punched in a 5-yard touchdown. That was a 4-yard, 55-yard drive.

• 2Q, 4:56 — Ernest Hausmann gets home on a blitz for a third-down sack, forcing a punt. Michigan starts on its own 45-yard line.

• 2Q, 6:41 — Donovan Edwards carries Michigan on this drive and caps it off with a 7-yard touchdown to put the Wolverines up 14-3. The Wolverines drove 75 yards in 13 plays.

• 2Q, 14:18 — The Michigan defense gets the stop off the short field, holding Arkansas State to a field goal. Clune Van Andel’s 27-yard field goal was good. Michigan leads, 7-3.

• End of the first quarter: Michigan 7, Arkansas State 0

• 1Q, 0:28 — Davis Warren was pressured, threw off his back foot and threw an interception to linebacker Charles Willekes. Arkansas State takes over on the Michigan 15-yard line.

• 1Q, 2:23 — Michigan running back Kalel Mullings rips off a 30-yard touchdown run to put the Wolverines on the board. It’s 7-0 after the made extra point by Dominic Zvada. The Wolverines drove 76 yards in 11 plays.

• 1Q, 9:02 — For the second straight week, Michigan’s opponent missed a field goal on its opening possession. Clune Van Andel’s try doinked off the right upright, no good. The score is still 0-0. Michigan’s defense allowed two long third-down conversions but stiffened on a 3rd and 2, forcing the field goal attempt. The Wolverines take over on their own 24-yard line.

• Michigan has won the toss and chosen to defer its choice to the second half. Arkansas State will receive to begin the game.

Series Facts: This will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools. The Red Wolves are 0-10 all-time against Big Ten opponents, with their most recent matchup being a 45-12 loss at Ohio State in 2022. Michigan and Arkansas State were originally scheduled to compete in 2020, but the Big Ten mandated that non-conference schedules were canceled that season due to a pandemic. The game was rescheduled for 2024.
